Working together for over 20 years with almost 50 years of experience between us, we are passionate about working with small & medium owner manged businesses to provide them with the complete tool kit to help them & their businesses thrive. Making the business work for them & not the other way around.

Priding ourselves on being more than just bean counters & reporters to HMRC, we partner with business owners to give them the confidence & ability to make in the moment informed decisions for them and their business.

We specialise in transforming businesses of any size, in any sector up to the audit threshold. We both enjoy working with the people behind the business to educate and guide them on their financial journey. We go beyond the statutory reporting by providing insights and clarity throughout the year in real time, not just annually on reflection when filing & tax deadlines are nearing.

Lyn Oaten

After finishing a degree in Accounting at University, Lyn spent the first few years of her career in the accounts team at Wimpey Homes PLC. She then moved to Freeman Baker Associates in St Albans qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) in 2002. In 2006 Lyn joined Foxley Kingham as a client portfolio manager, where she looked after a broad portfolio of SME businesses and their owners. She also led and developed a team of highly motivated and dedicated individuals all of whom under her wing became qualified chartered accountants. This even includes her business partner Crystal!

Lyn’s passion for team playing and development extends to her love of tennis and travel, always looking for new opportunities and experiences. She enjoys spending quality time with both family & friends, cooking to relax and watching live comedy performances when time allows.

Crystal Boston

Joining Freeman Baker Associates in 2002 from A levels, Crystal went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in 2007. She later followed Lyn by joining Foxley Kingham in 2008 as a client team leader and worked her way up, joining the board of directors in 2020.

Crystal also led a successful team of staff who progressed to managerial levels under her supervision. She was also responsible for the implementation of an apprenticeship recruitment program and championed progression of the team.

Away from the office Crystal is a true crime and cosy crime enthusiast. She is also a fan of Jigsaws and puzzles and especially enjoys building Lego. She likes to spend time with family and friends and her six cats (yes count them, SIX!) She is very sociable and is volunteer for several charities and committees.
